- Waterproof/ Moisture-resistant Doors: A patented fiberglass surface material called Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) is applied to our lightweight, truly-flat honeycomb/ torsion box core provide excellent waterproofing properties. Sing panels also make beautiful watertight wood-stave doors. Additionally, our Sing core EPS foam provides a 3.5 R factor per square inch of thickness for sound-deadening properties and makes our fiberglass doors five times as insulated as wooden doors.
- Sound-proof Doors: Our patented Sing panels contain a honeycomb/ torsion box of standard EPS foam, but we can upgrade this to urethane foam to increase the sound-deadening properties. To increase the sound-deadening properties further, rigid acoustic fiberglass (Armacell, ATSA, etc.) is also available. Our standard Sing Core doors are equivalent to STC 30 and our upgraded Sing panels are equivalent to up to STC-56. Sing Core is also able to be applied to any acoustical exterior surface material for sound-absorbing and aesthetic value.
- Fireproof Doors: Fireproof doors made with Sing panels are truly flat and weighs 60% less than any other fireproof door, which means no high maintenance costs. Our patented, lightweight, Sing honeycomb/ torsion box cores are covered in noncombustible 3mm Magnesium Board which results in zero flame spread and zero flame development. An outer layer of surface material of your choice will match any décor or building construction.

Note: STC ratings vary according to size, thickness, skin and other factors. Sing Core does not rate doors, although we are fortunate enough to have one of the best sound testing labs in the world, here in the Pacific Northwest. If you require a specific STC rating, Sing Core can build a door to your architectural specifications and have the resulting door tested at our rating facility for an official rating.
*Customer will need to perform lab tests to certify hurricane rating for local code compliance.
