Impossible Doors Our Specialty

If you would like to know more about how to design a door with Sing Core inside, click here.

When it comes to building the most unique doors, especially large, oversized doors of any size (up to 20 x 60 ft. or more), type, or style of door, Sing Core’s True Flat Team knows how to bridge the gap between impossible and possible, by applying many variations of their patented and patent-pending technologies to make it happen. Some of our most recent projects include curved doors, Sing stile and rail doors, new patent pending Sing Core stile and rails, long-span wood stave planks, CNC door carving blanks, large sliders with man doors, billionaire home doors, and hot rolled steel doors.

When an architect’s visionary project is coming to life, it is common for the project to come to a halt when the main door (this inspired visual centerpiece of the project) presents problems for the millwork or door company in charge of the rest of the door schedule.

Oftentimes, the most common response is, “We will build it, or have it built, to your specifications, but this door will be placed on a separate rider, excluding it from any other warranty that may be covering the remainder of the door schedule.”

The door company will probably not even bother with the manufacturing of this piece, as it is too costly to re-tool to build it and it is likely to fail not long after installation. So, they will sub it out, and have an artisan millwork build it, freeing them from any responsibility for follow up maintenance calls regarding this piece of the job.

That is, unless they are working directly with Sing Core.

Many of the biggest door companies and high-end millworks are back into the specialty door business because they have partnered with Sing Core.

Why Sing Core?

Sing Core offers solutions that make impossible doors possible, and not only possible, but these magnificent works of art can be guaranteed not to fail, as they are covered by Sing’s

50-Year No Fail Guarantee

These enormous or one-of-a-kind unique doors are nothing short of amazing, with unparalleled service records and longevity, and they are guaranteed not to warp, bend, twist, cup or otherwise fail (including full structure and lamination warranty) for 50-years. No other door in the world comes with such an impressive guarantee unless it has Sing Core inside.

The Most Unique and Challenging Doors

Large doors are not the only unique and challenging doors to come to the attention of the True Flat Team. Many other types of architectural doors will present a huge list of problems that will send door engineers, designers, and custom door makers running for cover, yet they are no problem for the Sing Core factory teaming up with the sophisticated door manufacturer or millwork to accomplish. Like these:

Curved Doors

Curved doors are unique specialty doors, that require precise curvatures, especially if they are being newly installed in a pre-existing wall or structure that is curved. Matching the curvature of the door to the existing wall can be extremely difficult, but the True Flat Team at Sing Core make the perfect curved door to match any curved wall or structure, while still guaranteeing the door for 50 years to perform without warp.

Sing Stile and Rail Doors

The Sing-style of stile and rail door is a departure from traditional stile and rail door technology. The clients who prefer the Sing-style stile and rail door are looking for characteristics that are unavailable via traditional door building methods but still retain the look and feel of a traditional stile and rail door. Specifically, they are looking for a stile and rail door that is impact resistant, insulated for both sound deadening and climate control, and of course guaranteed for 50 years. Sing Core accomplishes this by building the stile and rail face on top of a patented warp-free core.

Large Thin Stile and Rail Framed Doors

Sometimes the architectural door specifications are unusual, like this wood-framed traditional stile and rail door with a large glass lite opening. This is a 14 foot tall door that calls for only a three-inch wood stile and rail surround to hold the glass. This is unusual and would be hard to accomplish with standard door building methods, and it was even a challenge for the True Flat Team, which led to their creating a new type of stiffener, which is now patent-pending technology. Now, standard stile and rail doors made with Sing Core stiles and rails can be guaranteed to remain warp-free for 50 years using new patent pending Sing Core stile and rails.

20-ft Span Wood Stave Garage Door

This is just one example to the many kinds of garage doors that Sing Core has helped to make possible. In this case, the architect insisted on 20-ft spanning warp-free wood stave planks, that any other way would have been impossible. 50 years from now, will be just as straight and true as freshly installed thanks to Sing Core and their long-span wood stave planks.

CNC Carved Doors

These beautifully CNC carved doors would be impossible to keep straight as they are accentuating the wood’s natural grain which is already trouble brewing, if not for the warp-free Sing Core working hard behind the scenes, deep inside to keep these doors perfectly and truly flat even though they are 107-inches tall using Sing CNC door carving blanks.

Large Sliding Doors with Man Doors

When it comes to large sliding doors with man doors, there is really only one way to do it with a high degree of precision. The large sliders with man doors must remain decidedly straight and true in order for the man door to operate seamlessly, plus, because there is Sing Core inside, you get the added benefit(s) of getting lightweight, high strength, fully insulated for sound and climate control, and our 50-year warp-free guarantee.

Billionaire’s Exotic Home Doors

These massive natural teak doors have Sing Core inside to keep them from warping and also to provide added protection from outside interferences to privacy and the elements. Not everyone can have their whole homes fitted with Sing’s doors, but what a great feeling it is having done so with Sing’s billionaire home doors.

Hot Rolled Steel Doors

Hot rolled steel doors can be a challenge, especially if they are very large. Normally, large hot rolled steel means a lot of weight needs to be articulated adding stress and strain to the frame, hardware, and structure if used very often. Patented and patent-pending Sing Core reduces the weight greatly while enhancing the door’s characteristics enabling one to install a man door or open and close a mammoth-sized hot rolled steel door easily.

When Bigger is Better

Thanks to the patented and patent-pending technologies in the hands of the True Flat Team at Sing Core bigger does not necessarily have to mean heavier or big troubles are ahead. With Sing Core inside your big doors can be lightweight, high strength, fully insulated, and guaranteed warp-free for 50 years.

How to Build the Best High-End Stile and Rail Door

Being in the business of helping the biggest door manufacturers and high-end millworks building the best doors in the world, we thought we might let you in on a little secret. Sing Core is world renowned for building the best enormous doors that are lightweight, high strength, fully insulated, and guaranteed to perform warp-free for 50 years. But did you know that we also make the world’s strongest lightweight and insulated stile and rail doors?

The popularity of stile and rail doors has been around for years because, number one, they look amazing. They have a unique appearance as they are manufactured of panels of various sizes. The most popular, and it is the one you are most likely to think of when you think of a stile and rail door, is the six-panel door.

Hands down, this is by far the most popular design. The traditional six panel door is made up of 15 individual wood pieces with alternating grain orientation and all the components are assembled by varying means depending on the application of the door.

If the best feature of the stile and rail door is the undeniable appearance of the door, the second-best feature of the stile and rail door is it’s ability to stay relatively straight over the life of the door. This is accomplished by varying the grain orientation of all the individual panel pieces, which push and pull against each other, unlike a traditional solid slab door which can move wildly at any time or according to any change in the environment.

But the biggest disadvantages include very low insulation value. This means they are not well suited for climate control or sound reduction, and for high-end clients, though they love the appearance of the panel doors, they are not very strong.

If you build stile and rail doors, you may need to know how new technology can lower your labor costs and increase your productivity when building all types, styles, and designs of doors. Sing Core has done it and proven it backed by the best guarantee in the industry.
We can help you:

  • Meet your production needs – Fast Delivery
  • Exceed your quality expectations – High Precision
  • Reduce your labor cost – Money Saving
  • Structural guarantee – 50 Years!
  • Custom sizes – Any Size or Weight
  • Fully insulated and sound deadening door panels

The Sing solution is to build your stile and rail door on top of the patented Sing Panel Door Substrate invented by Peter Sing. Sing’s substrate is lightweight, high strength, fully insulated and comes back by the only

50-year Warp-free Guarantee

in the door industry.

Now, you do not have to settle for a weak stile and rail door because your stile and rail door can have Sing Core inside.

How to Build a Stile and Rail Door

The first step is to start with Sing’s patented core which is built of small metric vertical grain torsion box where the voids are filled with foam for insulation, and this is sandwiched between two stress skins.

The next stage is where the expertise of the millworks and door manufacturers come in. Instead of manufacturing the door out of individual pieces of wood stuck together, the panel design elements, as in our six-panel door option shown here, are added to the surface of the door.

This gives you the appearance of the traditional six panel that we all have come to love, but if your six-panel door has Sing Core inside, you have the lightweight for panel doors of enormous size, or adjustable weight for smaller doors, with all the insulation and incredible unbreakable strength.

This is just the beginning. Sing can help you make any kind of door. Sing Core is featured in all kinds of doors and is highly sought after when creating replacement doors is historical restorations, especially if they are large doors which are problematic for maintenance because they do not have Sing Core inside. We do not sell our products to homeowners, door stores, or door shops.

Problem Solved.

Why Architects Trust Sing Core

It is not uncommon for a contractor on a high-end project to come across a specification for Sing Core that they have not previously seen.

The contractor contacts Sing Core for more information about this particular job.

Congratulations

If you are a contractor working on a project that features Sing Core in the specs, you are privileged and must be considered one of the best contractors in your area because Sing Core is never featured in any project that isn’t considered by architects and designers to be the top in the industry.

You will be expected to be at the top of your game on this project, so congratulations to you for being awarded this project.

If I were to guess, I would think that your project is located the greater New York area. Your project is industrial or if it is residential, it is probably a home valued at 5 million dollars or more, and features at least 1 very large door.

Though shipped all over the world for many different applications, most of the products Sing Core helps to produce would fit this description.

What Next?

Know that working on such a high-profile or top-secret job like this must be handled properly, contacting Sing Core is your first order of business if you find this in your specifications.

Though we are primarily specified for the largest most important doors in America and around the world, Sing Core does not build the enormous doors for which they are so well-renowned.

What Sing Core Does

Inventor Peter Sing developed the patent and patent-pending technologies that allow large doors to be built without fear of failure in the very near future. Large doors, especially large wooden doors, have been problematic ever since architects and engineers began to create them, that is until the advent of Sing’s core. It enabled door engineers, manufacturers, and millworks to create enormous fail-free doors that could withstand the text of time.

When you contact Sing Core about the door or doors in your specifications, they begin reviewing and designing the interior of the door, the core, to support the surface material of the door so that it will counteract any potential for door warping, which is the main reason why large composite doors fail, especially if they feature a surface material that tends to move, such as natural wood grain.

Then, Sing Core coordinates with the team that will complete the door build. Surprisingly,

Sing Core Does Not Build Doors

They design the base material, conducted by Sing’s True Flat Team, that takes into account all the details of the build and creates the flawless substrate. Then Sing Core coordinates the rest of the process from attaching the surface materials and finishing the door. The door can then be sent to your millwork or door company, who can prep the door, install the necessary hardware, and ready it for installation.

When the specs callout a Sing Core door, it is not unlike Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner specifying a Rolls Royce engine. In the same way as you will see Rolls Royce specified in 35 different types of modern aircraft, you will find Sing Core inside a wide variety of doors around the world.

Contractor’s Millwork

As a contractor, if you work with a local millwork, they may have the proficiency to participate in this extreme door project. If so, Sing Core will work with them and send the unfinished door to them for finishing. You must have a great deal of confidence in your local millwork to trust them to handle such a job.

Utilizing only the best people in the industry on this elite project is of paramount importance to ensure your client’s satisfaction.

Why Architects Trust Sing Core

Architects, engineers, millworks, and door companies trust Sing Core because they understand the science behind Sing’s invention and know that “This is the only way to build such a door,” that will not fail.

Inventor Peter Sing backs all his big doors with his comprehensive

50-Year Warp-free Guarantee

Only Sing Core can create a fail-free large door core that can counteract any surfaces tendency to move without having to sacrifice precision or weight. Sing’s core boasts +/- 006 in. tolerances and weighs in at a fraction of other wood-based door cores. So, your big door doesn’t have to be so heavy that it compromises the structure or is dangerous to handle.

This ensures years of low maintenance enjoyment, which has put many door companies back in the business of creating large, oversized doors, something they had abandoned long ago because they wanted to cover all the doors in a project with their standard one-year guarantee, now these huge doors have an even better guarantee that their standard-sized doors because they have Sing Core inside.

Is a Sing Door Expensive?

Yes, Sing Core is more expensive to use than other door cores, and all the artists and craftspeople who help to create such a one-of-a-king piece of art, all contributing does make these doors more expensive that the average door, but your clients, the ones who have hired you and specified Sing Core on this project will settle for nothing more than the very best, at any cost.

And it’s up to you to see this project through to fruition.

MDF Doors

In the artistic world of contemporary architecture design, creativity is the primary driving force expanding beyond the limitations of standard building materials. Architects and designers who yearn to express their artistic approach to groundbreaking structures and features with flair and high-precision detail are empowered by new advances in composite building materials, like Sing Core.

Creative visions come to life in the present day in projects with the most amazing degree of clarity and detail that might have taken thousands of artisan manhours in the past, by using patented and patent-pending Sing Core technologies with CNC artistry. The results can be most intricate and massive in scope and size using Sing Core.

MDF Doors

The primary focus of Peter Sing’s invention of Sing Core is in the large medium-density fiberboard (MDF) door venue. MDF is a fine surface material made of recycled wood products which makes it an excellent option for responsible use of wood fiber and sustainability for concerned architects and builders.

For voluminous designs on a budget, MDF is an inexpensive alternative when used in commercial and institutional projects when steel or prefinished wood may have been cost-prohibitive.

Admittedly, the bulk of Sing’s core being featured in MDF doors is far more practical than artistic. Using Sing’s core and assisted by his True Flat Team, the largest door companies and most prominent millworks in the country are able to create a lightweight MDF door that is stronger than any other MDF door. This enables door manufacturers to create lightweight MDF doors of immense size that can be guaranteed not to warp, bend, twist, or otherwise fail for 50 years.

The number one MDF door application of Sing’s MDF door substrate is in Paint Grade Doors.

Paint Grade Doors

When you are looking for the smoothest painting surface, then an MDF paint grade door is a clear choice. It is quicker and easier to produce a paint-ready door made of MDF over other wood door products.

The only problem is that MDF is heavy and unstable for heights exceeding 8 feet tall, or widths greater than three-an-a-half feet. Where MDF is concerned, size does matter.

To use MDF for large oversized paint grade doors, you need to get into the door engineering details of the door. Thankfully, the biggest and best door designers, millworks, and door companies are able to depend on Sing’s inventions and his True Flat Team to work out the details of the design.

The result? A lightweight, high strength, perfectly smooth flat surface ready for that special treatment, your expert paint, and great result. But that’s not all. These doors are guaranteed unlike any other door known to man.

50-year Warp-free Guarantee

Doors created with Sing’s composite of patented and patent-pending technologies are guaranteed not to warp, bend, twist, or otherwise fail for a full 50 years. No other large lightweight high strength MDF door can be guaranteed like that, which also includes a full 50-year warranty on the structure of the door as well.

MDF Veneer Doors

Next up, MDF veneer doors. When you’re talking about a large-scale job incorporating veneer for that high-end client who demands the very best, Sing’s patented and patent-pending veneer substrate is the premier solution for the most exclusive clientele.

Veneer can be sliced very thin, and any imperfection in the material underneath the veneer can become exponentially more apparent on the finished surface area. To combat this problem, the best millworks and veneer shops crossband to create a more natural surface area resulting in less noticeable imperfections.

Using Sing’s MDF underlayment for veneer provides a flawlessly smooth surface area to apply even the thinnest veneer for that perfect finish. And size? Well, the biggest and best veneer jobs have fail-free high precision Sing Core inside, which also matches perfectly with Wood Stave Doors as well.

CNC MDF Doors

For the architect, artisan, designer, visionary artistic creations can be brought to life with Sing’s lightweight warp-free CNC MDF door substrates. Imagine having a high-precision lightweight door canvas that is fully insulated for sound deadening and climate control capabilities that can be CNC sculpted to your heart’s desire.

That’s like a dream come true as your dream door is manifested via the efforts of top craftspeople and CNC artisans with the help of Sing’s inventions and his True Flat Team, all working together to see your idea become a reality.

To bring such a work of art to life may not have been impossible in the past, but to have a lightweight high strength configuration that was fully insulated and fail-free for 50 years guaranteed? Now that is something previously unheard of.

CNC Carved MDF Doors

CNC carving is taking the place of hand-carved projects all around the world, saving time and money.

Note that 3D carving can impact the surface area enough to make it less than stable. Using patented and patent-pending Sing Core technology as underlayment can solve the issues of carved surfaces creating challenges over time, even if the surface material is one that tends to move according to changes in the environment, like natural and exotic woods, which can be added to MDF and Sing Core, not unlike natural wood veneer.

“There is no other way to do it.”

They trust Sing Core because to date, they have not had one claim or return, and you won’t either, if your door has Sing Core inside.

The best and biggest bold, beautiful doors with Sing’s core inside do not fail. Architects and designers trust Sing Core to deliver the best doors for their projects, especially those extremely prestigious structures and applications.

What do they trust Sing Core for?

High strength garage door, finished by Artistic Doors and Windows. When building a specialty door like this, you want it to last.

The Best Solid Wood Stave Large Doors

Solid wood stave presents the biggest problem for large doors due to the natural tendency for a thick piece of wood to respond to its environment by moving. This is not too bad for normal-sized doors, but once you get over 8 ft. tall, you start finding trouble everywhere you look, unless your solid wood stave surfaced door has patented Sing Core inside. Then, it will not move.

Some wood species are more prone to warp than others, so Sing’s True Flat Team goes to work integrating the interior design of the wood stave door with additional anti-warp tech inside the door to compensate for stronger wood grains.

Other large wood door manufacturers offer a one year non-warp warranty, while patented Sing Core comes backed with a full 50 year non-warp and structure warranty.

The Best Large Veneer Doors

When it comes to thin veneers (which can be paper-thin) we have trusted artisans do this work, because we believe that this level of expertise requires that extra finesse to achieve the desired results. Our doing the veneer-piece is actually quite rare because the bulk of our veneer door responsibilities is supplying the many millworks and door companies with the warp-free high precision core for them to apply their own veneers.

This type of work is so sensitive that we only trust the people who are highly specialized in veneering (and that is all they do), so they are quite expensive. We do not want to compete with our own clients. We only use the best veneer craftsmen to work on our clients’ doors. They source the best veneers available in the USA via their suppliers.

If you have a millwork near you that specializes in hot press veneer, we can work with them, if you trust them. Most of our veneer substrates are delivered to millworks who are qualified to to this type of work. Let the experts do the high end jobs.

The Best Big Fiberglass and Laminate Doors

Whether you are looking for an oversized fiberglass door, FRP door, Formica door, Masonite door, Wilsonart door, or HPL door, Sing Core has what it takes to keep your door straight and true when it’s most important to you. The sky’s the limit for your creativity when using these incredible source materials that come in a huge array of colors and designs. And with Sing Core inside, you never have to worry how big your project is.

Patented and patent pending Sing Core has the strongest most lightweight structure for any challenging skins to build all types of doors. Sing Core owns the largest press to take on any otherwise too complicated to consider large door task.

The Best Large Paint Grade Doors

Of course, you call on Sing Core who can turn around an order, like this, in 72 hours. Sing Core ships them to your finishing site, where you have them prepped and painted, and you’re good to go. 700 big worry-free paint grade doors in 72 hours. Not bad. When do you want yours?

Sing core door panels are made of the strongest, lightweight Sing Core with skin made of 1/8 inch MDF and 1/4 inch plywood as skins to provide the most smooth and structurally sound double-layer skins which provide the most lightweight, stable, structure strength, and smooth surface for painting high end doors.

Bulk Orders get priority handling and save more per door than any other method.

The Best Large Aluminum Doors

Architects and designers trust Sing Core’s ability to match their warp-free core with the best metal fabrication techniques for the perfect metal doors. While huge Aluminum doors with Sing Core inside are our most in-demand of all big metal doors, Cold Rolled Steel, Hot Rolled Steel, Galvanized Steel, and Stainless-Steel doors are not far behind.

The Best Large MDF Doors

For so long, MDF has been a difficult material to work with because it is so heavy and not very stable, but engineers and high-tech artisans love it because it is so supremely smooth. This attracts and commands the attention of the most creative artisans in search of the perfect large door canvas. Can be used for 6 panel door, or any other kind of door including French doors with glass cutouts. Sing’s core makes these doors much more manageable by greatly reducing the weight, while increasing dimensional stability, even on enormous doors, and these take advantage of Sing Core’s +/- .006 tolerances.

More than 60% of our big MDF door substrates ship directly to millworks and hot pressers who do their own veneer. Our MDF is so smooth, you can do high precision veneer without having to crossband. Other MDF doors are double to three times heavier or more so with much less structural integrity.

Sing Core MDF doors are the strongest, lightweight and high strength doors in the door industry. We are able to manufacture any type of style, or custom designed door with or without light openings. Even 6 panel doors at a low cost if in large quantities. This service is designed to work with door companies or or mill works that are able to take our door panel and add molding if necessary, expertly finish, and install hardware.

Working with our team, you will be able to build the best door in the USA.

If you are considering sourcing the highest precision, strong, lightweight, non-warp and nearly unlimited variety of design possibilities.

Other Popular Large Door Types

When it comes to architectural doors, you never know what is going to slide across the design table next, but Sing’s True Flat Team is there, ready and waiting, for the next challenge. Some of our most interesting doors that have come up lately include huge Stone Veneer doors, Butcher Block doors, Cement Board doors, Specialty Hardwood doors, even Concrete, and Ceramic doors.

New Modern Panel Doors

Panel doors are a longstanding stylistic type of door which has withstood the test of time. One of the best features of the panel door is its potential to stay straight and not warp. In the traditional manner of building a stile and rail panel door is to use many pieces of wood with grain orientation in differing directions to help counteract wood’s potential to move. Sing Core is proud to bring you the New Modern Panel Doors.

New Modern Panel Doors
Many faux styles of panel doors have been approached, for instance molded door skins made of plastic, fiberglass, or vinyl where the style of the traditional panel framing is 3D molded into the face material. What you get is a weather resistant door that looks like a traditional panel door.

New Modern Panel Doors

Enter new modern panel doors, the next generation in panel doors that are far superior to other panel doors of any kind. Unlike traditional panel doors, new modern panel doors are fashioned of a superior flush or flat panel door with 3D molding added to the surface material as decoration, to imbue this door with the visual characteristics of a traditional panel door.

What makes new modern panel doors superior to traditional panel doors?

New modern panel doors have Sing Core inside, which means they are Eco-friendly, extremely strong, lighter in weight than other panel doors, and fully insulated for increase sound dampening, and climate control. All impressive attributes, but the most impressive are that these doors are the very same doors that are considered the best doors in the world, and are the only doors that come with a 50-year warp-free guarantee.

Inventor Peter Sing is responsible for making his patented Sing Core available to the biggest and best door manufacturers, millworks, and custom door builders in the United States. Sing’s patented core helps make possible the building of extremely large doors lightweight, high strength, fully insulated, and warp-free for 50 years. That is why you find doors with Sing’s core inside anywhere from beneath the sea (US Navy) to outer space (NASA) and everywhere in between.

Sing is patenting these new modern panel doors which include his patented core inside complete with panel enhancements to make this new generation of panel door appear to be a panel door without any of the negative side effects.

What are the less than desirable characteristics of a traditional panel door?

1. Panel doors are weak

Kick a panel door at nearly and juncture where two or more panels meet, or a stile or rail, and the door will collapse and fall apart with an average degree of force.

2. Panel doors are not insulated

Panel doors are made of wood. Just wood. Which is pretty but only has an R-factor or R1 to offer as insulation resistance, while doors with Sing’s core inside host R3.5 or more per square inch, depending on the insulations specified in the door.

3. Panel doors are heavy

As they are made of wood, wood is very heavy, so any door you make with only wood will reflect your choice in materials in the overall weight of the door. Doors made with Sing Core inside weight a fraction of solid wood doors but look like solid wood thanks to Sing’s patented hybrid composite core material.

Now you can have a door that is every bit as elegant as any traditional panel door that can be guaranteed to stand the test of time while providing high precision (+/- .006 in. tolerance) and high performance (50-years fail-free service) in an Eco-friendly, lightweight, high strength, fully insulated door, thanks to Sing Core.

No other door in the world is backed by a

50-year Warp-free Guarantee

Unless it has Sing Core inside.

Hot Press Veneer Professionals

Hot Press Veneer Professionals are More Successful and Profitable with Sing Core

For years, Sing Core has been providing high-end local and nationwide hot press veneer professionals with premium core material that eliminates the need for crossbanding.

Let’s face it, nothing can compete with the beauty and elegance of a perfectly hot-pressed panel, and for that sweet-spot in the marketplace, those clients that demand the best and are willing to pay for it. The manufacturers and millworks that have Sing Core inside their hot-pressed products are making bank by specializing in these ultra-high-end projects.

For general contractors, we recommend using your local millwork to lay veneer, as it requires a skilled professional.

From the Inventor of Sing Core

I get asked by hot press veneer shops, if we are in competition with them? And the answer is, “No.” Even though we are specified by architects all over the country in large veneer projects, and mostly in huge veneer doors, we do not do the veneer. What we do is to provide our substrate to the best hot press veneer professionals we know. If a contractor contacts us first because we were spec’d on the job, we have him tell us which veneer company he wants us to work with, and my team is willing to help match up the best material and veneer services if they ask us for their advice, and that’s what we do.

I have invented patented and patent-pending solutions for high precision veneer projects that take the pain out of the challenges normally associated with big, long-spanning high-end jobs, anywhere from the San Francisco MOMA to the top of the World Trade Center’s Freedom Tower.

The top reasons the architects specify Sing Core is because

  1. We use only the best hot-press veneer companies to apply the best veneers, because I understand that doing veneering really great is an art, and we suggest only using the best artist, as you would on any important project.
  2. My company does what we do best, that is to provide the best substrate for veneer specialists to lay high quality veneer with the best guarantees in the woodworking industry.
  3. The people and companies that I work with are the best in their field and they don’t have to worry anymore about if this will work or how to solve problems associated with weight, dimensional stability, warping, or long lifespan. We’ve spent years in R&D to make sure that the biggest doors in the world do not have to warp anymore, and the biggest door companies trust me to make it so. In the last 10 years, they have not reported a single failed door, even including doors of immense size. Not one.
  4. My core is stronger than steel pound for pound and less than 1/3 the weight of doors made of solid wood core. Sing Core provides a high precision strong full bonding surface for veneering to that is so smooth crossbanding is not required. How high precision? Try +/- .oo6 inch, compare that to any other core material.
  5. Sing Core has insulation for enjoying warmth in Winter and cool Summers, is sound deadening for peace and quiet, and more dimensionally stable than other type of core such as foam core, honeycomb core, wood-based core.

You may not see everything we do because it is hidden deep inside the door or panel, but it’s there and many people can sleep soundly at night knowing that we have done all the hard work in advance, so that you don’t have to worry about endless maintenance calls.

I am so proud of my invention, that I put my name on it: Sing Core

What makes a hot-pressed panel worth so much more with Sing Core inside?

Architects are increasingly specifying their large high-end hot pressed veneer panelized walls, features, and doors have Sing Core inside (accounting for about one-third of all our products which are sent to the greater New York-area). The contractors generally contact Sing Core directly first, due to being specified. Though Sing Core does not actually do the veneering. Sing Core provides the high precision substrate that is shipped 3,000 miles from the manufacturing location in Washington State, to the high end millwork in New York (or wherever the nearest hot press specialist is near the construction site) to do the veneering there.

You will find Sing Core inside high-end hot pressed veneered ceilings, walls, floor, and doors in the most demanding architectural designs and projects.

Why?

Why must architects and designers go through such an unusual process to meet the needs of these high production and precision projects? According to those who are specifying and using Sing Core in their projects,

“There’s just no other way to do it.”

Large Size Concept Consideration

In an age when the biggest projects often include large spanning surface areas wrapped in beautiful wood veneer, the large scope of such a project is problematic. You are dealing with immense spans of material which is difficult to maintain straight and true, because at that size, most material will begin to move with changes in temperature, humidity, or other environmental variations. Sing Core is the only known method of keeping these spans straight and true. That is why the biggest door companies use Sing Core inside their doors that are over 9 ft. tall, because it doesn’t take much movement in a large door to render it inoperable. Then you do not have a door, you have an obstacle, or a bowed wall that needs to be dealt with. This leads to Sing Core’s primary function in these huge projects,

Warp-Free Hot Pressed Veneer

Particularly in high-end designs featuring the beauty of hot pressed veneer, the last thing you want is your project to express variances or changes. The desire is to have a completely flat surface that can span great length without warping. This is what Sing Core provides. It is the reason large doors (even extremely large doors) are guaranteed not to warp, bend, twist, or otherwise fail for 50 years, because they have Sing Core inside.

Highest Precision

High precision is a sought-after attribute of some of the most demanding clients, and Sing Core’s high precision (+/- .006 tolerance) gives them the high end performance that your clients are willing to pay extra for.

Lightweight Veneer Panels

Hot pressed veneer panels with Sing Core inside weigh less, not much more than a hollow core panel, but feature a fully insulated warp-free solid hybrid core that is 100% surface-area bondable.  We do not provide hardware or veneering.  If asked to lay veneer, we subcontract out to the best veneering professionals.

100% Surface Bondable

That means, no weak spots like you might see in honeycomb-type cores, which offer only 10% or less surface bonding area. This full-bonded surface area inside the panel eliminates delamination over time.

Fully Insulated Veneer Panels

The insulation value is important in high-end hot pressed veneer applications for both climate control and sound deadening capabilities within expansive structure designs.

Less Expensive to Deploy and Install

Keeping these hot pressed veneer panels lightweight translates to less expensive shipping, handling, and hardware. They are easier to and less expensive to transport, manage and install on site with fewer risk of injuries, even if the panel is exceptionally large.

50-Year Guarantee

The non-warping hybrid core allows large door companies to build large doors that can be guaranteed not to warp, bend, twist, or otherwise fail, including delamination.

We Do Not Veneer

We always recommend using your local veneering professionals for custom veneer doors. We do not provide veneer or install it.  It is our policy to subcontract veneering jobs to the best veneering professionals in the USA.

If you offer hot-pressed veneer services or cold-press veneering to your clientele, your highest paying customers will gladly pay you more if your panels have Sing Core inside.
