Protect Your Home From the Winter with Sing Core

Sing Core and Your Warmth

As we hit the half way mark of the 2022/2023 winter season, many are finding that their homes lack proper insulation in many different ways. One of the main reasons your home may not be holding warmth is your exterior doors. Doors are often poorly insulated, if even insulated at all. A poorly insulated door can surge your heating bill up, as it allows warm air to leave the home and cold air to filter in unrestricted. A door made with Sing Core’s patented honeycomb panels is guaranteed to improve your internal climate, as they are well insulated, lightweight, and can be made to fit any door size.

Why Choose Sing Core?

Sing Core doors offer many advantages over the standard options, and are the industry best in making high quality, durable, and lightweight doors. Our products are made with a laminated honeycomb core, allowing you to choose nearly any door design while still maintaining that high end Sing Core result.

In addition, our doors are guaranteed to be warp free. Doors can warp slowly over time, especially in areas with constantly changing weather. Rain, snow, freezing temperatures, and many other factors can lead to your door warping, and even the smallest warp can change the entire feel of your door. Sing Core doors are guaranteed to not warp, meaning you’ll always have a smooth and straight entrance.

We also offer a 50 Year Guarantee on our products, promising to stay sturdy and straight through that entire time. This brings you peace of mind to know that you will always be satisfied with your door, as it will stand the test of time regardless of the conditions.

What Are The Benefits of Sing Core?

In addition to the high end insulation and 50 year guarantee, our doors are also incredibly sturdy and lightweight. A typical door can be one or the other, but at Sing Core, we make door panels that are durable, without weighing down the hinges and being difficult to move. Because of this, we can make doors of nearly any size, further broadening your options with elegant tall doors, large garage doors, and many others. Our panels are also sound deadening, offering additional uses as interior doors for studios, or even exterior doors in loud areas.

What Kind of Doors Can Sing Core Make?

Nearly any door is an option when using Sing Core. Exterior doors, interior doors, large doors, pivot doors, sliding doors, and garage doors, among many others, all become a possibility with our amazing product. Plus, these various applications will all have the same benefits, so you can have an insulated garage door, a lightweight large door, and more.

We invite you to look at our customer gallery to see some of the amazing things we’ve been able to create, and when you’re in need of a high end door, remember Sing Core.

How to Build a True Flat Long Lasting Carriage Door

How to Design Order and Build your Carriage Door

True flat technology is based on expertise in building carriage doors that can be guaranteed true flat and stay flat. This composite science includes the proper proportions of Sing Core, aluminum and/or other materials based on your requirements or specification. In this way each Sing carriage door is a work of art.

Wood-based carriage doors are exposed to a variety of weather conditions, glaring sun, wind and rain and it is important to keep the surface primed and coated to make sure that it does not crack while exposed to weather.

Sing carriage doors prolong functionality of surface treatments due to being made with patented Sing Core’s torsion box structure that holds the wood surface to maintain a forever flat surface without twisting or cracking.

You may further weather-protect – even for withstanding the most severe weather conditions – by integrating other material into the surface of your Sing carriage door. Surface skins of aluminum, FRP or stainless steel will not crack like natural wood or plywood to prevent compromise of your Sing carriage door.

If you like the look of solid wood but seek high-performance and longevity, you can use Sing aluminum as your true flat carriage door’s substrate, you will be able to maintain straightness of your doors making them less likely to crack due to movement cause by expansion and contraction of the wood surface material.

See how Sing Panel’s torsion box structure prevents surface crack because of the patented Sing Core’s unique characteristics.

To keep your carriage door true flat is a challenge for solid wood or even plywood.

Sing Core and Sing Panel master true flat technology for very high-end doors requiring less that 1/16 inch deflection which is more costly.

Sing carriage doors far exceed the AWI industry standard or ¼ inch deflection to be considered flat.

Sing Panel Technical FAQ

Are Sing Panels like other honeycomb core panels?

Only in appearance.

Other honeycomb panels use a grid system, but those grids are typically left empty. Sing Panels use a vertical wood grain torsion box to form the internal grid structure. The internal voids are bonded and filled wall to wall with resilient recycled foam. Multiple foam options are available to meet your specifications.

What is the R-value of Sing Panels?

EPS foam: 3.5 per inch
Urethane foam: 5.7 per inch

How strong are Sing Panels?

Very strong. Sing Panels are among the strongest affordable lightweight building materials.

They have been independently tested by the University of Washington to exceed 660 PSI and can be custom designed to achieve over 1,000 PSI per your specifications.

Do Sing Panels have solid wood edges?

Yes. Sing Panels feature solid wood or other solid material edges.

The wood edge is visible between the exterior surfaces, or skins, along the panel perimeter. Edge banding is available at an additional charge. If solid edges are not required, Sing Sandwich panels may be considered.

What surface materials are available for Sing Panels?

Sing Panels are available in a wide range of flat exterior surface materials. Availability is limited by material sourcing.

What thicknesses are available?

Custom thicknesses are available to meet your specifications, up to 12 inches and beyond.

How large can Sing Panels be made?

Sing Panels can be manufactured in custom dimensions, up to 22 ft. by 40 ft. or larger.

Are Sing Panels weather resistant?

Sing Panels are lightweight, high strength, and weather resistant to the degree allowed by the selected surface material.

Sing Panels can be manufactured to withstand extreme weather conditions and are used in underwater applications. Please consult with SingCore sales staff prior to ordering waterproof Sing Panels.

Can other materials be bonded to the surface of Sing Panels?

Yes. Many high-end millwork shops bond additional surface materials to Sing Panels when used as a substrate.

If you plan to laminate other materials to Sing Panels, please consult with SingCore first to maintain warranty eligibility.
