We are so excited to see municipalities and counties all over the nation are beginning to loosen the grip on residents who desire to build their own projects on their own properties.

Lightweight, High-strength: Sing Concrete Formwork weighs a fraction of the weight of traditional timber formwork – even less than other engineered formwork systems – yet is many times stronger compared to any other lightweight concrete formwork system. In fact, Sing Core’s compression strength was tested at UW at 660 PSI (stronger than steel pound-for-pound) and could be increased to meet your specifications if necessary.
Light weight: When compared to other materials Sing Core weighs much less, as much as 50% less, or more, as little as 4 lbs. per sq. ft. yet eco-friendly. This advanced technology used in the aviation industry is now available for use in your home.
High strength: Sing Core based on 2″ x 2″ grids and 3/4″ thick = 660 PSI. For instance, aluminum 3/8″ grids = 30+ PSI (smaller grids should be more strength). Sing Core’s superior strength comes from its advanced torsion box design.
Insulated Concrete Formwork: In permanent concrete formwork applications, high-performance insulated Sing Concrete Formwork is permanently installed providing both thermal and acoustic insulation. How to Specify Sing Core Inside Your Doors
When specifying Sing Core inside your doors, you can specify “Sing Core” as the manufacturer but note that the doors will need to be finished by a millwork or custom door manufacturer. This about how this might impact the price (important for contractor during price estimations). It would also be helpful to also specify weight ratio of “3 to 4 pounds per square foot” and “50 year warp-free guarantee,” to prevent substitution by the contractor. You don’t want your client to end up with a substituted non-Sing door and be unaware of it until it warps later (see example).
Does Your Door Have Sing Core Inside?
If your door has Sing Core inside it can come with a full 50-year warp-free guarantee. No other door can be guaranteed like that, unless it has Sing Core inside.
It is rare, but there have been occasions when a door has warped, when someone thought it had Sing Core inside, but it did not.
For instance, last year, an architect in Florida specified a large wooden door with Sing Core inside. The contractor contacted Sing Core and received an initial price quote.
Nine months later, we received a call from the architect who had been contacted by the building department that reported that a large wooden door with Sing Core inside had warped.

Doors are a challenge for door manufacturers and mill works if the door is over 8 feet in length and less than in inch thick.
One of the Sing Aluminum honeycomb panels are used as the true flat door’s substrate. It’s used in almost all major high-end residential and commercial door applications due to the true flat characteristics. Even a door made of Sing Core, which is considered to be the most flat door ever made in the industry (AWI standard is 1/4 inch deflection for a regular door) with a wood-based skin has to keep moisture totally balanced, otherwise it will bend and may require time to adequately acclimatize; if you move from place to place, it might takes days, sometime weeks to reach certain flatness.
Sing honeycomb door substrate will be less than 1/8 inch or less. But if you have a door over 12 feet, even over 16 feet, tall and less than 1.5 inch in thickness and you are desire to have the least amount of deflection, then you need to contact www.singcore.com to find the true flat solution.
