Sliding Metal Doors

Sliding metal doors were all the rage in commercial, industrial, and residential applications in the fifties and sixties. The only problem with these doors was that they were costly to maintain because these sliding metal doors were so heavy. It’s a lot of extra weight to add to a structure, especially if the structure isn’t manufactured primarily of concrete and steel.

Rollers would breakdown, bearing would fail, tracks would deteriorate, as the maintenance costs piled up over the lifespan of the door. Now, thanks to Sing Core, there is a solution for making Eco-friendly sliding metal doors which are lightweight, with Sing’s patented solid hybrid core.

The classic design and look of sliding metal doors are making a comeback in modern contemporary architectural designs and it is having huge impact, especially if the sliding metal doors are very large in size.

This new resurgence in metal sliding door design is implementing all types of metal, primarily focused upon aluminum door, stainless steel door, galvanized steel door, cold rolled steel door, and hot rolled steel door, in that order of popularity among modern architects and designers.

When contemplating the incorporation of a large metal sliding door into your design, there are many considerations to take into account. Will there be maintenance required regularly over the life of the door? In most cases, large doors will need regular maintenance to keep them functioning properly, and to repair or replace them if they either become damaged or start to warp.

Any metal door could be made of any type of available metal, though some types may be cost prohibitive, and others may be too soft to deliver consistent high performance over time, so it’s best to know your metals before you specify the material, unless, of course, price and regular maintenance are not an issue.

Aluminum and steel sliding doors definitely lead the pack over all metal sliding doors, and exterior steel doors are a hot item, and when they encounter direct sunlight, that’s when things start moving. That’s a problem which could prevent the steel sliding door from operating correctly and may cause undo stress on hardware, leading to all kinds of other problems.

When a warping metal sliding door is of concern, Sing Core is the solution, especially for modern metal doors over three-and-a-half feet wide and seven feet tall. Inventor Peter Sing can help architectural door designers to create large metal doors which can be guaranteed warp-free for fifty years.

In fact, if you have a large metal door with a 50-year warp-free guarantee, that door has Sing Core inside and it was designed, engineered, built, and finished to achieve those special results.

While Sing Core is found inside the best metal sliding doors in the world, Sing Core does not make sliding doors. Sing Core works hand-in-hand with the best millworks and metal door fabricators in the world. The result of this massive team effort to achieve such high-end sliding metal doors. No detail is overlooked.

It takes a village to build a lightweight, high strength, metal sliding door that is a one of a kind piece of work which is made to last for centuries and guaranteed to remain warp-free for at least 50 years.

[The pictured] SingCore panels [are] used above the windows. Panels are 1 1/4″ thick by 33 feet long. They were delivered in 18 foor sections

Reason for the detail was conventional framing & sheetrock was impeding on the shade boxes and not staying straight.

Pivot Doors

There’s no better way to make a lasting impression than with a big pivot door. Large pivot doors as entry doors are the best way to garner attention.  Plus your guests will remember and talk about that “big pivot door” long after they’ve visited your home or structure.

Pivot doors make an impact which does not fade quickly. We specialize in working together with the elite high-end millworks and exclusive custom door manufacturers to create breathtaking custom high-end pivot entry doors for the most discerning clients in the United States and abroad.

Specializing in large opening doors is a craft which until recent years presented immense challenges for architects, designers, and engineers when it comes to creating large pivot doors which are taller than eight feet or wider than four feet due to the limitation of the building materials available at the time.

Now, Sing Core presents a pivot door blank which empowers any visionary pivot door company to bring their large pivot door dreams to life. This has ushered in a whole new series of highly individualized one-of-a-kind pivot doors, each one is a specially crafted pivot door which may be similar to, but clearly unlike any other door, making their way into the most exclusive designs and structures around the world.

You can find pivot doors with Sing Core inside just about anywhere from beneath the sea (US Navy) to outer space (NASA) and everywhere in between. This is no surprise when you take into consideration that this is the only way to make large pivot doors which are lightweight, fully insulated, and fully resistant to warp.

Sing Core’s hinged doors and pivot doors are a growing trend among modern door companies, contemporary architecture, and design aficionados who are on the leading edge of the wide range of industries which they represent.

Large pivot entry doors are a symbol of elegant superiority, demanding the attention of anyone who approaches them to focus upon them. There is no hiding their effect on guest who encounter them. It’s hard not to pass through such a large opening without expressing one’s self, with something, like, “Wow.”

Until the advent of Sing Core, the resounding challenge facing pivot door manufacturers was the fact that pivoting doors were warping. Thanks to inventor, Peter Sing, his factory is able to build warp-free pivot door blanks custom-designed and built to host any flat building material. This non-warping substrate enables any pivot door company to build a pivot door that does not warp.

In fact, custom built doors, built in tandem with Sing Core’s true flat team can provide clients with pivot doors which can be guaranteed not to warp, bend, twist, or otherwise fail (including full structure) for 50 years; guaranteed in writing. No other door builder can do that, unless their doors have Sing Core inside.

Unlike hinged doors which are firmly anchored on one side of the door to help prevent warping, pivot doors only have two points of contact where the door swings freely from side to side, in some cases all the way around, pivoting on one anchor point on the doors base and the other on top of the pivoting door.

That’s it. Therefore, it’s very hard to keep pivot doors straight. Sing Core provides pivot doors such as aluminum pivot door and steel pivot doors, but also dares to build and create warp-free versions of wood pivot doors, which are by far the most problematic.

Glass and metal pivot doors provide the least amount of problems, yet architects and designers still specify Sing Core to reduce the weight and increase the insulation value of the metal and glass pivot doors to reduce sound and increase thermal capabilities for the best of all pivot doors available today.

And when it comes to pivot front doors, these pivoting doors can be the perfect solution for doors which face the sun and/or may be fully exposed to the elements. Sing’s modern pivot doors are featured in the most expensive homes and industrial locations, enabling your or your client to possess the most beautiful pivot door system.

Thanks to the true flat team at Sing Core, pivot doors are an excellent choice for addressing those large door openings. Having a guaranteed precision designed and engineered pivot door makes all the difference, especially for those with the highest expectations and attention to detail.

While perusing the pages of sincore.com you will find photos of pivot doors that will challenge your otherwise sound sensibilities, and you will start thinking outside the box as your start to imagine the new possibilities as inspiration for pivot door ideas which you may not have dared to conceive of previously.

You are not limited to using pivot doors as front entry doors because the look and feel of pivot doors can be seen across a variety of settings including used as outdoor pivoting gates made from unique materials including cement gates and pivoting HPL gates.

Specially designed and engineered pivot door, fiberglass and HPL pivot doors are quite common in industrial and hospitality applications where they are exposed to high traffic environments.

Sing Core’s custom-clad pivot doors can host any available flat building material, such as aluminum, brass, brick, cement, cold rolled steel, concrete, diamond plate steel, fiberglass, galvanized steel, FRP, hot rolled steel, HPL, Kevlar, Masonite, MDF, metal, stainless steel, and wood. Any type of wood species.

Oversized Front Door

When it comes to big doors, no one does it better than Sing Core. Who else can make an Eco-friendly oversized front door that is made in the USA, fully insulated, lightweight, stronger than steel pound for pound, and guaranteed not to warp or fail for 50 years? Nobody, unless the door in question has “Sing Core inside.”

Front doors are not only the first thing that you see when approaching a structure, but they have a unique challenge as one side of the front door faces the interior and the other faces the exterior. This is the perfect storm for the warping of exterior doors.

A warped entry door is a problem because it is a huge security issue if the front door cannot be secured because the locking mechanism does not line up correctly. This can also be a problem for climate control for certain times of the year when weather can be extreme in some geographic locations.

Sing Core oversized front doors could be made of any available flat building material but the most problematic entry doors are wooden front doors. Wooden front doors cause the most challenge for warp due to the nature of the natural wood grain to move as it adjusts to changes in the surrounding environment.

Sing Core’s ability to provide a warp-free solution for this type of elegant oversized front door includes the use of patented and patent-pending technologies which are keenly created and suited for the particular door, taking into consideration the height of the door, the width and thickness. Other factors include the wood species used and how much of the wood is featured on the exterior wood doors, as well as taking into consideration the overall seasonal climate where the door is installed, which direction the door is facing, and whether the door is 100% exposed, or not.

All these things factor into the unique creation of a warp-free oversized front door substrate which considers all the aspects of the door. This is a process which is unique only to Sing Core and it’s what makes each door with a 50-year warp-free guarantee an individual work of art.

Many of the best and largest door manufacturers call on Sing Core to assist them in building an oversize front door of integrity and long-lasting performance. Prior to working with Sing Core, many of the largest companies would just refuse to make the big front doors because they knew these big entry doors were going to be problematic.

Custom door manufacturers and the most proficient millwork companies and craftsmen might build out the door to your specifications, but no one would be willing to put their name on the bill more than once, guaranteeing any degree of well-maintained straightness, as prior top Sing Core, this was just not possible. You might be compelled to sign your name the first time due to your level of confidence in your abilities, but after the first time, you’d use the waiver.

Contractors routinely excluded the big front entry doors from their warranty rider(s) for the same reason. It’s like, “if you want a big door, then fine. We’ll find someone to build it for you, but good luck trying to keep it straight.” If you want a big door, you can have it, but the regular maintenance for large wooden front doors is on you, and you can count on it.

Temporary Wall Panels

Temporary wall panels are an excellent way to take charge and become the master of your space of any size, or any environment. If you have large open spaces, these can easily be redesigned or divided in separate spaces quickly and easily using insulated Sing temporary wall panels.

For obvious reasons, inventor Peter Sing’s temporary wall panels are found mostly in the Greater New York area and are used primarily as insulated room dividers. Space is a premium commodity in this part of the country and Sing Core helps make the best use of available space.

Temporary wall panels can be a little tricky, so if you’re not the owner of the property, you need to be sure to check with the owner to see if it’s okay to erect wall dividers in your space, also there may be local building codes that may prevent you from using a room separator.

For those who are creative enough to exploit a loophole, while there may be local code restrictions for room partitions, or hanging room dividers, furniture is unrestricted. Many people are using Sing temporary wall panels as the backside of a bookcase by installing bookshelves on one side of the temporary wall panels. Now you have a bookcase, which is a piece of furniture which sits on the floor, and is not considered a wall, as long as it is not anchored to the ceiling.

That’s how you find Sing temporary wall panels installed in many buildings in the New York area providing more privacy and maximized use of available space as a DIY room divider bookcase built by the avid do-it-yourselfer, though some companies who specialize in New York room dividers, use Sing Core inside their temporary walls.

And if you have the bandwidth, in terms of excess wall space on either side of your opening, sliding room dividers, are an excellent way to open a full space and separate it into divisible space instantly. The sliding room dividers are always in place as the wall slides open or close on demand, perfect for a permanent installation. You see these in retail and entertainment space establishments around the New York area.

As portable room dividers, the most popular configuration in office settings in and around New York state appears to be hanging room dividers, where room dividers are hung side by side from commonly used and easily obtainable barn door hardware. Because temporary wall panels with Sing Core inside are so lightweight in comparison to other solid door core doors. The entire door, even outfitted with barn door hardware, can easily set in place or removed altogether by one person.

When not in use, they can be stored out of the way, to the side, or off-site. Then easily snapped into place and slidden back and forth to your heart’s content.

Then there are folding room dividers which consist of bi fold doors which are hinged together and fold atop each other to one side.

For years, Sing Core has been at the top of the top in the field of doors of magnitude, especially Pivot Doors, Sliding Doors, Pocket Doors, and Metal Doors of enormous size. Now you can have this same high-ranking technology inside your temporary wall panels, not just in New York, where we are very popular, but even in your hometown.

We serve the world with the only Eco-friendly insulated, lightweight, and high strength solutions built to last centuries without fail, but can be guaranteed for 50 years.
